Summary:
We are currently seeking an energetic, dynamic and experienced Designer to join a fast-growing IT firm working on cutting-edge technologies. We are looking for a user experience designer with strong interests and capabilities in the design and development of engaging user experiences. The ideal candidate will thrive in a work environment that requires strong problem solving skills and independent self-direction, coupled with an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication. This individual excels at providing both highly analytical as well as highly creative ideas to a design engagement. The candidate will also have extensive experience in a fast-paced and innovative development environment. A thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design methodologies is a must.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for understanding a customer's brief and converting that into appealing, highly usable interfaces.
- Engage with the business development team and/or customer early on to seek a deeper appreciation of the customers’ business problem/goals.
- Develop understanding of the end users of the website/application through secondary and primary research (user interviews, traffic data).
- Capable of generating user personas and user scenarios.
- Prepare prototypes of sites/features (ranging from paper-and-pencil concepts to wireframes or interactive prototypes) for internal review and brain storming.
- Capable of gauging technical feasibility of the prototype.
- Present highly intuitive process flows/designs/mock-ups to the customer for review/iteration/approval.
